Ines is a graduate of Minho University, where she received her MSc in Textile Engineering. Plagued by the idea that a 9 to 5 would be her reality until retirement, she took the first COVID-19 lockdown as an opportunity to start her freelance writing business.
During the first two years, she helped cannabis businesses increase traffic and sales by providing them with content strategy, SEO blog posts, email marketing strategy, lead magnets, and marketing emails.
She also dabbled in scientific and academic writing. She helped lecturers, researchers, and start-ups by translating academic papers and equipment lists; writing, editing, and proofreading academic lectures; researching and writing reports on various topics; crafting laboratory procedures and experimental methodologies; and writing and summarizing scientific articles.
At the beginning of 2022, Ines created MariGrama to fight misinformation by sharing reliable, trustworthy content on cannabis — no twisting facts for marketing, no dodgy sources, only science-backed information.
However, at that time, she started to experience extreme burnout. Upon realizing that she spent most of her free time researching and learning digital marketing and SEO, she decided to switch to writing about what she was truly passionate about and became a SaaS & digital marketing writer.
She also realized she was missing a creative outlet and a greater sense of purpose. That's why she created Free Worker Bee. Now, her mission is to help at least 1,000 people live freer, happier, and more fulfilling lives by becoming freelance writers.
